An opportunity has arisen with a reputable marine insurer for an experienced marine underwriter or broker to join their busy team in London. My client is in an exciting phase of growth, and the profile they are looking for is an underwriter or possibly an insurance broker that is very well connected in the marine insurance market.
The main focus of this role will be business development, in order to grow the book of business. Therefore, this opportunity suits someone that enjoys this side of underwriting, as there are other team members that will take the lead on some of the more technical aspects of underwriting.
As such, you’ll have the opportunity to be out meeting with current and prospective clients on a regular basis, and this will also involve international travel. My client operates in quite a niche area of the marine insurance market, but ultimately, any underwriter or broker suitably experienced within the wider marine insurance market, such as hull, P&I etc., will be a good fit.
An attractive salary is on offer to the successful applicant and a comprehensive benefits package. The company is also a very flexible employer and happy to consider bespoke working requirements/working hours. Hybrid working is also a standard policy for them.
