Our client, a global asset manager is looking to hire an Investment Strategist to join their growing Private Markets division. The purpose of this role is to lead the development of market views for private markets particularly for private credit markets.
Key responsibilities:
- Produce thematic research and deliver thought-leadership on a wide range of topics
- Conduct detailed analysis to assess market conditions, investment pricing and sector views
- Formulate and prepare specific investment recommendations for clients for private credit investments to match risk/reward profiles
- Contribute to investment meetings offering guidance on portfolio construction and risk management
- Produce publications for internal and external audiences and attend industry conferences
Candidate Requirements:
- 7-10 years relevant investment experience at an asset manager, pension fund or investment consultancy
- Strong working knowledge of private credit investments
- Understanding of the principal drivers of infrastructure, real estate and corporate credit returns
- Excellent academic background
- Strong communication skills, including being effective at interacting with key stakeholders within the investment business
- Self-motivated, humble, confident, proactive and a team player
- Able to function independently, take ownership and deliver on key research initiatives
- Creative thinker with ability to generate ideas and stimulate discussions using both qualitative and quantitative approaches
