Job Title: Mechanical Estimator / Senior Mechanical Estimator Location: Cambridge, Cambridgeshire Salary: Depending on experience Benefits: Electric Car / 6k car allowance, 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays, healthcare, company pension – 6% employee matched by employer A M&E Contractor are looking for a Mechanical Estimator / Senior Mechanical Estimator to join their expanding team in Cambridge. The company provides M&E services to a wide range of clients and businesses across a variety of sectors including Commercial, Education, Healthcare and Research & Development. These projects range in value up to £18m (M&E). As the Mechanical Estimator you will work within an established M&E estimating team in preparing mechanical estimates up to several million, so proven experience is essential. The Mechanical Estimator / Senior Mechanical Estimator will have the following duties and responsibilities: * Preparing accurate and competitive mechanical tenders using estimating software package. * Manage the tender process from initial enquiry through to final submission. * Attend site surveys or tender interviews. * Evaluate supplier and sub-contract returns to ensure compliance with the tender specification. * Maintaining and updating cost databases to reflect current market trends, material prices and labour costs ensuring accuracy and competitiveness. * Liaise with other departments regarding completion of …
