An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Private Markets investment team at one of the UK’s largest asset owners. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading or assisting in direct, co-investment and fund investment opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and assess new direct, co-investment and fund investment opportunities
- Conduct detailed financial modelling and due diligence on investment opportunities
- Support senior team at strategy level, helping to develop and implement strategic objectives
- Develop and maintain external relationships across the private equity community to ensure access to relevant deal flow and market intelligence
- Monitor current investments to ensure performance in line with expectations and propose solutions to issues within the portfolio
- Keep abreast of the market environment and share insights with the wider team
Qualifications:
- 5-15 years relevant experience in private equity, investment banking, asset management, corporate finance or investment consultancy
- Excellent financial analysis skills
- Solid experience developing financial models in private equity, banking, transaction services or fund management
- Strong academic credentials (minimum 2:1 degree) from a top-tier university
- Analytically astute, with a good balance of quantitative and qualitative skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to perform under time pressure if necessary
- Strong team player and highly effective at communicating ideas
