Delivery Lead Group Manager - Director | London, UK

The Delivery Lead Group Manager will manage multiple teams through other managers. An in-depth understanding of how the sub-function contributes to achieving the objectives of the function is required, along with a good understanding of the industry and direct competitors' products and services.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the testing functional area and carry responsibility for the Testing Group.
• Impact the business by exercising control over sizeable resources, budget, policy formulation, and planning.
• Determine approach to implementing Testing strategy and execute it in the area managed.
• Structure the team for greatest impact and efficient use of resources.
• Set a clear vision for the team around roles and responsibilities.
• Management responsibility for a team or multiple teams, including people management, budget and planning, performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions, terminations, and budget approval.
• Ensure that the IT organization defines and implements its Testing and Control plans to meet business strategy and goals.
• Drive innovative testing strategies that support technological changes.
• Exhibit in-depth understanding of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of these elements in other areas.
• Impact IT testing through planning, finances/budget, end results, and setting policies.
• Perform other duties and functions as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Relevant previous experience as a Senior Delivery Lead, managing complex transformation programmes.
• Financial Service industry experience.
• Senior level experience in a technical environment, leading engineering teams.
• People management, leadership, and development skills.
• Stakeholder management and project management.
• Advanced communication skills, up to and including senior management.
• An expert and creative problem solver.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
• Resilient, able to adapt to change and implement changes rapidly; always seeking continuous innovation and improvement.
• Exceptional ability to rank strategic and operational choices.

Education:

• Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred but not essential.
