Sheet Metal Worker Permanent, £16.17 p/h, Skipton Experienced sheet metal worker required for a successful manufacturer who produce a range of standard and bespoke products in mild steel and sheet metal. The role would suit someone with previous experience of producing high quality fabrications or with a relevant welding, fabrication apprenticeship or qualifications. As the Sheet Metal worker, you will: Read, interpret & work to engineering drawings to produce high quality assemblies Fabricate metal enclosures from mild steel MIG & TIG welding, using long welds and making watertight Work on a range of structural framework Work with 1mm-3mm thick stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel Operate sheet metal working machinery including punching and folding machines Cut metal using saws and guillotines Work to a high-quality standard As the Sheet Metal worker, you will have: Strong welding skills using MIG & TIG Experience of working with mild & stainless steel in an engineering environment Ability to read engineering drawings Ability to work independently and be self-motivated Good work ethic and keen to learn new skills Excellent attention to detail Be hard working and conscientious with…
