Position: CAD Design Engineer
Location: Haverhill, Suffolk
Hours: Monday – Thursday 9am–5pm / Friday 9am–3pm
Rate: Competitive hourly rate (negotiable, depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Are you an experienced CAD Designer with a passion for engineering and customer collaboration? Stonetech Recruitment is proud to be working with a well-established client based in Haverhill, Suffolk, who are seeking a talented CAD Design Engineer to join their growing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create accurate and detailed 3D designs using SolidWorks (or similar CAD software)
- Prepare customer job folders, including technical drawings and Bills of Materials
- Manage projects from initial concept through to completion
- Liaise directly with customers and internal teams to ensure design approval and project satisfaction
- Provide support to the sales team with technical input and design expertise
- Continuously develop both CAD and sales/account management skills
- Attend site visits as required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- 3+ years' experience in 3D CAD modelling (SolidWorks preferred)
- Strong communication and time management skills
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the UK when needed
- Customer-facing experience – ideally in a sales or account management setting
- A proactive, detail-focused approach and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
