The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
Who will you be working with? Working within the Finance team, our colleagues are split across our 2 offices Warwick & Preston. You will be an integral member of the team, supporting Finance activities. The Finance team will be required to resource and support as the business undergoes its own transformation over the next 5 years.
On a daily basis you'll be responsible for:
- Analysis & Insight: Provide analysis and deliver insights that link financial reports to business strategies.
- Financial Control: Initiate and implement effective commercial procedures and controls to ensure key operational, commercial, and financial targets are met.
- Financial Reporting: Improve the impact and understanding of financial reporting on business performance.
- Strategic Support: Use commercial acumen to influence business stakeholders in strategic choices and evaluations to drive financial performance.
- Relationship Building: Build partnerships and maintain strong relationships with senior managers and their teams.
- Financial planning, budgeting and forecasting: Assist in the production of annual budgets and forecasts, ensuring they accurately reflect business strategy and requirement.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting and insights, financial controls and planning activities.
About you: We want to make sure you're set up for success in our mission. To be successful in your application you'll need to:
- Education: Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) + PQE. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related fields.
- Experience: Experience in a business partnering role. Deep understanding of the interaction between Income statement, Balance Sheet and Cashflow. Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint), ERP systems. Utilise and embrace the latest data and analytics tools e.g. PowerBI. Experience in financial planning and analysis, strategic initiative monitoring, and translating business strategy into financial plans. Good Commercial acumen, ability to identify risks and opportunities to optimize. Strong analytical skills with proven ability to analyse business performance. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Soft Skills: Strong presentation, relationship building, negotiation, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills. Demonstrate effective influencing and stakeholder management skills. Strategic thinking, ability to look beyond the 'here and now' for new business opportunities (Horizon scanning). Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment and propose, justify, initiate, and implement change.
