About the Opportunity
We’re recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded, multidisciplinary planning consultancy based in Central London. The firm is known for its collaborative culture, thoughtful approach to placemaking, and commitment to professional development. As part of their continued growth, they are now looking to hire a Senior Planner to support a busy pipeline of high-quality work.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a close-knit team that values creativity, rigour, and integrity — and to work across a diverse and rewarding mix of projects.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Advising clients on the development potential of land and buildings
- Preparing and submitting planning applications and appeals
- Drafting high-quality reports, planning statements, and supporting documentation
- Engaging with local authorities, clients, consultants, and stakeholders
- Working across a wide range of private and public sector projects, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments
- Contributing to internal knowledge sharing and supporting junior colleagues (as appropriate)
What We’re Looking For
✅ RTPI-accredited Planner (or working toward chartered status)
✅ London or UK planning consultancy experience (private sector focus preferred)
✅ Strong understanding of planning policy, law, and development control
✅ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
✅ Confident managing application and appeal processes with minimal supervision
✅ A proactive, solution-oriented approach to complex planning challenges
✅ Interest in the future of sustainable, inclusive development
