About the role: We’re looking for an experienced MarTech Director to join our rapidly expanding Data-Driven Marketing team, based in our head office in Angel, London. MarTech sits at the heart of our mission to build and run bespoke marketing ecosystems for clients through best-in-class people, processes, and technology. This role will be pivotal in setting up and carving out this function across the business, contributing significantly to our growing capability in this space.
Key objectives:
- Support clients on the effective transformation and effectiveness of their marketing automation efforts
- Build and grow the marketing technology capabilities within the team and business
- Consult with clients on strategy and lead the data campaign management teams
What you will be doing:
- Lead strategic and consultative planning efforts for clients - running workshops and discoveries, developing transformation roadmaps and implementation plans
- Identify trapped value and opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of clients’ marketing automation platforms and wider data ecosystem i.e. CDP / Data Warehousing, third-party providers
- Engage with a wide range of clients, from manager to CMO, to guide their marketing automation efforts and sell relevant solutions
- Lead the CRM campaign automation team, ensuring best-in-class implementation, right-first-time delivery, and effective collaboration with other teams (Data Strategy, Analytics, Strategy, Creative, Account Management)
- For more sophisticated CRM programmes, support the campaign management team with hands-on implementation expertise and best practice approaches to ways of working and QA
- Own MarTech accreditation and certification strategy for our business – undertaking certifications, new partnership opportunities, demos and training
- Consult with clients on their CDPs and other data warehouses and how these seamlessly integrate with their marketing automation platforms and CRM efforts
- Support broader teams in the business on how to leverage the best other creative technologies such as Creative X, Dragonfly AI
- Support internal data team infrastructure building and optimisation where appropriate, specifically Google Marketing Cloud
- Provide thought leadership for clients on best-practice and what’s new in MarTech, particularly focusing on AI capabilities
- Advice on and support in the usage of third-party tools that aid CRM communications and personalisation, such as Moveable Ink and Phrasee
- Maintain a keen awareness of industry advancements and continually push the boundaries of what marketing technology can achieve, particularly in the AI / Gen AI space
- You will be open and willing to attend sustainability training relevant to your role and soak up recommended research and reading about sustainability issues
What you need to be great in this role:
- Proven experience establishing and growing a business function
- Strong expertise of Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, and HubSpot, with a strong grasp of their technical and functional capabilities
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud (ideally admin & consultant) & Braze certified
- Extensive experience in how to translate consumer lifecycle programmes / functionality advancements into MarTech platforms (implementation, delivery and optimisation)
- Strong knowledge of data warehousing / CDPs (e.g. Treasure Data, Snowflake, AWS, and Big Query)
- Excellent critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, comfortable influencing all levels of seniority
- A collaborative team player with an open mind and a willingness to lead in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- A keen eye for the future, particularly in driving forward product offerings related to AI and MarTech advancements
- Desire to continually learn and push the boundaries of what marketing technology can achieve
