The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.
To deliver a wide variety of products and goods safely and professionally to designated locations within the United Kingdom. The driver will ensure correct handling and delivery of all goods using equipment provided. The driver will exhibit high levels of customer service and care at all times.
Duties:
- Delivering and collecting a wide variety of items from different locations safely and efficiently
- Accurately following pre-planned driving routes and time schedules to ensure timely deliveries
- Driving to a safe and high standard, adhering to all laws and rules of driving to ensure a safe and healthy working atmosphere
- Using excellent communication skills to interact with customers, face-to-face and over the phone, to update them of delivery timings if there have been unforeseen changes
- Maintaining communication with management and the transport team to inform them of any changes to route or schedule, or barriers to making safe and timely deliveries
- Keeping precise records of deliveries/customer authorisation and making sure that all documentation is completed and submitted to management in a timely manner
- Properly maintaining company vehicle, and ensuring that it is clean and safe to drive
- Using and maintaining delivery equipment e.g. handheld scanner
- Safely unloading goods using correct manual handling procedures (sack barrow provided)
- Collecting and keeping secure outstanding monies as advised verbally or noted on the invoice
Skills and qualifications:
- Valid Class 2 licence with a good driving record
- Minimum 2 years driving/delivery experience as a Class 2 Driver
- Good communication skills
- Able to meet deadlines
