We are seeking a dynamic Head of E-commerce Operations/ Operations Director to lead ecommerce strategy, drive operational efficiency, and enhance customer experiences within the supply chain. This is an exciting position to really help drive the various teams within the business and increase online sales. The role will be to improve performance and help project manage ecommerce channels such as new Marketplaces.
You will oversee order fulfilment, supply chain logistics, website performance, and marketplace expansion, ensuring smooth operations and business growth within a predominantly B2C retail business. The business has a number of websites to manage, which are Shopify based, a great brand and product line. This is within home improvements so candidates within a similar industry could fit or household, homeware or appliances too. A completely different retail area can also be highly considered so new ideas can be brought into the company.
Key responsibilities:- Manage ecommerce operations, fulfilment, logistics, and customer service.
- Optimise supply chain, inventory, and delivery processes.
- Ensure a seamless website experience in collaboration with IT and marketing.
- Expand into marketplaces using systems like Linnworks, connecting with Amazon, eBay, The Range, Wickes and others.
- Improve workflows, automation, and overall efficiency.
- Utilise data analytics to drive performance improvements.
- Experience in ecommerce operations, supply chain, or logistics management with a strong focus on ecommerce.
- Strong knowledge in ecommerce platforms such as Shopify.
- Knowledge of marketplace integrations and automation tools like Linnworks. This will be a new area so anyone that has previously set this up would be really beneficial.
- New ideas, making decisions based on data and fixing any supply chain, customer issues that may come up to ensure a smoother journey in future.
- Proven ability to scale operations and implement process improvements.
