Job Title: Commercial Legal Counsel Reporting to: Managing Director Location: Hawthorns Stadium with travel as required Line Management Responsibility: Paralegal / Legal Secretary Working Hours: Full time which may include evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required and in line with business needs. About The Role An exciting new position has become available to join us as Commercial Legal Counsel. The Commercial Legal Counsel is responsible for providing advice on legal, business and regulatory issues and for ensuring legal and regulatory compliance and risk mitigation with a particular focus on Commercial Matters. You will be required to work fulltime which may include evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required and in line with business needs. Alongside this your working location will be based at The Hawthorns, Birmingham Road, West Bromwich, B71 4LF, however you may be required to travel to other locations as needed. About The Candidate Essential Criteria: Qualified solicitor with significant post qualification experience Solid understanding of contract and commercial law Experience in negotiating a wide variety of commercial and corporate contracts Successfully able to recognise the sensitivity of legal decisions and managing their reputational and public relations implications Experience of contentious as well as transactional matters Experience of successfully managing relations with internal and external business contacts and the ability to maintain composure and cope with conflicting priority issues whilst working to tight deadlines Experience of establishing optimised processes and procedures to assist with transaction efficiency, including the development of house documents and negotiation standards.
