Our engineering clients, based close to Havant, have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Manager to join their growing team. This role will be to oversee the daily operations of the warehouse. The role will be responsible for managing inventory, ensuring efficient storage and distribution of goods, dispatch of goods, supervising warehouse staff, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Daily Operations: Manage and coordinate all warehouse activities including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and ensure accurate records are maintained.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and evaluate warehouse staff to maintain high levels of productivity, accuracy, and morale.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure the warehouse operates in accordance with health and safety regulations, and company policies and procedures.
  • Logistics Coordination: Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with suppliers, transport companies, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery.
  • Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements to optimize warehouse layout, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency.
  • Quality Control: Inspect incoming and outgoing goods for accuracy and quality, resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Reporting: Prepare and analyse warehouse performance reports, such as inventory levels, order fulfilment rates, and staff productivity.
  • Equipment Management: Oversee maintenance and proper use of warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and racking systems.
  • Customer Service Support: Collaborate with customer service and sales teams to resolve order issues and meet customer expectations.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Good level of IT/ERP / MRP skills (Intermediate Excel, Sage50)
  • Warehouse Management experience in manufacturing environment
  • Attention to detail
