I am looking for a Service Technician / Service Engineer to join my client, a global engineering services business based in Aberdeen. The successful candidate will have experience in offshore and marine crane systems. The role is predominantly based in Aberdeen but travel to additional sites will be required. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established team delivering high-quality service and support across international projects.

The role offers a competitive salary plus day rate, and a retention bonus.

Package:
  • Base salary £30,000- £35,000
  • Day rate for offshore assignments OTE £50,000- £60,000
  • Performance / retention bonus
  • 31 days holiday (including bank holidays)
  • Private healthcare
Responsibilities:
  • Commissioning, maintenance, inspection, and servicing of cranes and lifting equipment both onshore and offshore
  • Diagnosing and repairing faults in electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
  • Performing rigging and lift planning activities
  • Generating detailed service and inspection reports
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards
Requirements:
  • Multi-discipline background or experience with crane OEM commissioning
  • Minimum 5 years experience in servicing offshore port, or marine cranes
  • Strong skills in electrical and/or hydraulic engineering
  • Valid BOSIET certification
  • Comfortable working independently in remote or offshore environments
  • Rigging certification is advantageous
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
