SWIFT Temps Ltd Engineering Recruitment Division is recruiting on behalf of our client for a Permanent Semi-Skilled Control Panel Wirer in Bradford. This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable company involved in the design and manufacture of electrical control panels. It is ideal for candidates with some wiring experience who are looking to grow their skills in a long-term role.
Main Duties:
- Assist in the assembly and wiring of control panels
- Follow basic wiring diagrams and layout drawings
- Strip, crimp, and terminate cables to specification
- Mount components such as relays, terminal blocks, and switches
- Support skilled panel builders with layout and wiring
- Maintain a clean and safe working area
- Conduct basic electrical checks (e.g. continuity)
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience in panel wiring, electrical assembly, or similar
- Able to read basic electrical diagrams (training can be provided)
- Proficient in electrical systems and components
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to assemble complex systems
- Experience with logic controllers and their programming is advantageous
- Familiarity with surface mount technology (SMT) is preferred
- Competent in using hand tools and power tools safely
Desirable:
- Level 2 Electrical qualification (or similar)
- Experience in a manufacturing or automation environment
Working Hours:
Monday - Thursday: 07:30 - 16:30
Friday: 07:30 - 13:30
39-hour working week
Overtime available and paid at enhanced rates
Pay: £13.00 - £13.50 per hour (depending on experience, PAYE) Accrued holiday pay
