Have you recently completed a PhD in a CMOS RF design topic at a leading University? Then this is a great opportunity for you to become part of MediaTek’s highly experienced global RF team working on state-of-the-art 5G and 6G RF products in advanced CMOS processes.

Your responsibilities will include the specification, design, implementation, and verification of RF circuit blocks or RF subsystems for 5G and pre-6G RF transceivers. Your focus will be on delivering leading-edge RF circuit blocks with excellent performance on first silicon.

Qualifications and Essential Skills

  • PhD in a CMOS RF circuit design topic.
  • Strong background in CMOS RF integrated circuit design.
  • Excellent understanding of modern transceiver architectures.
  • Experience with design in advanced CMOS technologies.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Good working knowledge of RF IC layout optimization and able to provide effective supervision for layout implementation.
  • An innovative thinker with a passion for challenging technical problem solving.
  • A strong team player able to collaborate on complex projects.
  • Able to communicate effectively with people across different timezones and cultures.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with Cadence Analog Design Environment.

Requirement Location

Our UK RF Design Centre is located in Maidstone, Kent with an additional team in Cambourne, Cambridge shire. These locations offer an excellent choice of living environments in traditional rural villages or local towns, with outstanding schools nearby. Both Maidstone and Cambourne are conveniently located within one hour from central London and main London airports. You will have the option to choose to work in either fantastic location.
