As our Fitness & Membership Executive, you will be an active member of our fitness team, providing high quality personal training, one-to-one sessions, leading wellness events and our fitness classes. You will also assist the Membership & Fitness Manager to establish and maintain an exclusive membership base, building strong guest relations and managing an effective retention programme, whilst driving and delivering on our brand standards.

You will assist in the coaching, educating and mentoring of our spa reception team, resort sales and fellow fitness team members. You will drive membership sales maximising all opportunities and ensuring sales targets are met or exceeded in accordance with the business plan. Capturing members' details, doing show rounds and following up on all leads will be part of your day-to-day operations. The smooth running of One Spa is critical, and you will have a keen eye for detail, high standards and a health and safety awareness.

There may be times when you act as Duty Manager, supporting the wider department and interacting with all guests, members and associates. Our ideal candidate will have an operational knowledge and demonstrated expertise of a luxury spa. You are likely to have a minimum of Fitness Instructor Level 2 and Personal Training Level 3 although your technical skills and flexibility will be what sets you apart.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Uphold excellent satisfaction levels through your own personal training sessions, fitness classes and wellness events.
  • Achieve membership targets as outlined in spa budget and marketing plan.
  • Track, monitor and execute all new enquiries, provide tours and actively sell the One Spa Membership Program.
  • Manage the waiting list and ensure that all KPIs are being supported.
  • Interact with the Members/Guests on a one-to-one basis, to listen, empathise and react to situations in a positive and helpful manner.
  • Work with the Membership Manager to promote a healthy, happy membership culture maximising membership retention through a variety of enhancements.
Daily Duties:
  • Carry out fitness classes and one-to-one sessions with our members.
  • Under the guidance of the Membership & Fitness Manager, pro-actively promote all that the One Spa Membership has to offer to maximise revenue.
  • Communicate effectively with members to identify their needs to provide appropriate solutions and exceed their expectations.
  • Ensure that all membership tiers are operating at full occupancy with a focus on membership retention.
  • Monitor and process all new member leads, provide membership tours, close the sale and follow up with all new member collateral and enhancements.
  • Maintain strong membership satisfaction for your own classes, one-to-ones, and personal training.
  • Be an ambassador for One Spa, promoting it at any opportunity.
  • Assist in the induction of all new hires into the spa, sharing with them your passion for fitness, wellness and One Spa Memberships.
  • Have a keen eye for detail, reporting all accidents and maintenance needs to ensure that we are operating at a high, luxury standard whilst adhering to all Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Cover for the Membership Manager as needed, this may include Direct Debit processing or supporting with employee relations.
  • Manage the membership database system, tracking monthly Direct Debits and monitoring annual renewals.
  • Be our "social butterfly" developing and participating in events and lifestyle activities to promote and retain our members.
  • Undertake any reasonable request from the Spa Director or Senior Hotel Managers.
  • Provide cover to other areas of the Spa when necessary.
