We are looking for an Assistant Catering Manager to join our client, a high volume, multiple-outlet Catering Operation based near Leatherhead, Surrey, in their welcoming and customer-focused environment. - Oversee the day-to-day running of multiple catering outlets, ensuring a high standard of service and efficiency.
- Lead and develop the catering team, providing clear direction, training, and support.
- Manage stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships to maintain cost-effective operations.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
- Drive sales and maximise revenue opportunities, including group bookings and seasonal events.
- Support HR functions such as recruitment, absentee management, performance management, exit interviews, team development etc.
- Maintain excellent customer service standards across the various outlets and handle any queries or complaints professionally.
- Previous experience in a senior food & beverage role, ideally within a high-volume catering/ hospitality environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with a hands-on approach to management.
- Strong people management skills are essential.
- Good understanding of food safety, health & safety, and compliance regulations.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
- A passion for great food, service, and team development.
- Some kitchen experience would be a distinct advantage.
