Role Overview

As a Blockchain Engineer, you will work across smart contract development and blockchain infrastructure (consensus to frontend) to make blockchain features accessible and easy to use. You will be responsible for implementing smart contract functionality, integrating tokenization and liquidity solutions (Chainlink), and building Web3-based applications.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and optimize Ethereum-compatible smart contracts for OpenOrigins.
2. Secure and audit smart contracts to prevent vulnerabilities (reentrancy, transaction attacks, etc.).
3. Build Web3-based UI components using JavaScript/TypeScript.
4. Implement tokenization, Chainlink-based oracles, and liquidity pools.
5. Create secure signing functionalities for re-signing and tracking digital media over time.
6. Work closely with the product manager and DevOps Engineer to ensure smooth blockchain integration.

Requirements:

1. 2+ years of experience in blockchain development.
2. Understanding of how to deploy/update/migrate contracts.
3. Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills for frontend and Web3 interactions.
4. Deep understanding of blockchain security principles and best practices.
5. Ability to write secure and efficient smart contract code with gas optimizations.
6. Experience working with low-level blockchain primitives: consensus, node handling, messaging protocols.
7. Strong UI/UX skills to build Web3 interfaces.

Bonus Points:

1. Experience integrating Chainlink, oracles, and smart contract-driven liquidity solutions.
2. Experience with NFTs, tokenized assets, or DAOs.
3. Contributions to open-source projects.
4. Familiarity with C2PA and media provenance tools.
