Your new role involves bringing your personality to work in a position that offers structured and rapid career progression, as well as diverse responsibilities, including:
- Acting as part of the management team for owner-managed businesses, producing meaningful financial data and assisting in their financial and tax planning strategies.
- Reviewing accounts preparation and tax computations to identify and implement potential efficiencies.
- Providing meaningful management information that is accessible to both non-financial directors and external funding providers.
- Supporting accounts and taxation directors in onboarding new clients and creating their initial business plans following thorough due diligence.
- If your technical bias is taxation, you will assist accountants with planning for their client portfolios and support client directors with personal tax planning where applicable.
What you will need to succeed is a positive attitude and a genuine desire to develop your career as a business advisor, along with foundational skills and experience, including:
- ACCA (part-qualified or recently qualified) and/or ATT or CTA active study or qualification.
- A minimum of two years' experience in an accountancy or outsourcing business, with duties completed to manager review.
- Accountants should be capable of preparing statutory and management accounts for small companies.
- Tax advisors should have experience completing small company and personal tax returns, as well as some exposure to tax planning.
