Allocations Advisor – Housing Salary£36,540 LocationChelmsford Fixed Term Contract – 15 months Full Time We are looking for an Allocations Advisor to deliver the Welcome and Moving service for all our customers to ensure a smooth moving experience. You will work collaboratively with the District teams and Customer Resolution Centre in areas of expertise while maintaining strong relationships with key partners internally and externally in line with CHPs corporate objectives. What you’ll be doing Maximise the turnaround and usage of all properties in line with CHPs corporate objectives, working closely with Homes and Places teams. Effective promotion of CHP properties in relevant channels, including information to councils, in accordance with CHP policies, procedures and customer engagement standards. Work pro-actively with Local Authority partners to develop high quality Lettings Plans for all new build schemes to help create cohesive and sustainable communities. Manage all aspects of the shortlisting process in accordance with the allocations and lettings policy, including temporary accommodation. Complete references, affordability, and pre-tenancy checks to identify customers to view our properties and coordinate with relevant District teams to schedule viewings. What we are looking for Understanding of social housing and lettings process. Knowledge of data protection legislation and working with sensitive personal data. Strong interpersonal and influencing skills. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to use your initiative and take a flexible approach in managing conflicting priorities under pressure. Experience of working in a customer focussed role with proven ability to deal with conflict and difficult conversations. Benefits The salary for this post will be £36,540 pro rata Per Annum.
