This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Agile delivery of a significant data transformation project within a secure environment with a central government customer. The successful contractor will join an established team and lead agile ceremonies, facilitating consistent flow of open communication, and ensuring teams are striving to continuously deliver value.
Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for the project budget and timelines
- Lead and facilitate all core Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, sprint reviews and daily stand-ups
- Coach and guide team members on Agile principles, fostering a shared understanding of best practices
- Proactively identify and eliminate blockers to maintain team momentum and focus
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners to ensure effective backlog prioritisation and refinement
- Effectively manage stakeholders day to day and be the point of contact for any queries
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration
- Ensure visibility of team progress through clear metrics, dashboards, and reporting
- Evaluate and communicate the burn versus overall project timelines
- Create and maintain a safe, open environment that encourages transparency, feedback, and innovation
- Use experience of delivering data projects to identify potential future problems before they have arisen
Experience/ Skills Profile:
- Demonstrable experience as a Scrum Master or in an Agile delivery role within complex, secure environments
- Demonstrable experience leading complex data projects and knowledge of the challenges that come with delivering such projects
- Deep understanding of Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Strong budgeting & timeline management
- Experience mentoring and developing Agile capability within teams
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-security environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative and adaptable approach
Desirable: Central government experience

- Day rate: Up to £595
- IR35 Status: Outside
- Location: Hybrid with onsite working up to 2 days a week in London
