Overview: We are looking for an experienced Panel Assembly Electrical Test Engineer to join a manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and certifying electrical panels to ensure they meet industry standards. This position requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct electrical panel testing and inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Identify and resolve electrical faults using appropriate testing equipment.
  • Accurately document and report test results, flagging any defects or compliance concerns.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely and safe testing of all panels in line with customer delivery schedules.
  • Maintain and calibrate testing tools and equipment.
  • Follow risk assessments, method statements, and company safety procedures.
  • Contribute to the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Assist in panel assembly when required.

Requirements:

  • Experience in electrical testing within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • Experience in Electrical Switchgear is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical regulations and compliance standards.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to quality, health, and safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • 18th Edition (BS 7671) – IEE Wiring Regulations (Essential).
  • C&G 2391 – Inspection & Testing (Highly Desirable).
