Our client, a leader in Nuclear Generation, requires a Materials/Warehouse Technician to join their team on site at Torness. Working as a member of the Materials Team, you will be providing a comprehensive stock management service to support the safe and effective operations and maintenance on site. Due to the nature of Nuclear Power Stations, during specific station events you may be required to work a weekend on a rota basis during the course of the event. You will need to hold a UK Driving Licence for this position.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate the following skills/experience:
- Experience working in a Parts Warehouse/Logistics environment is essential.
- An ability to interpret and interrogate product datasheets and certification as well as general spreadsheet data.
- Excellent communication, written and verbal, with ability to multi-task and a keen eye for attention to detail.
- Competent with Microsoft Office applications and general IT proficient.
- Forklift licence (counter-balance and reach truck) not essential as training will be given, but preferential.
Role information:
- Receipt and inspection of spares and materials, including reviewing documentation to ensure adherence to specification.
- Issue and return of spare parts and materials.
- Cycle counting and in-warehouse parts life management.
- General warehouse duties, interacting with Goods deliveries/collections.
- Using Forklift Trucks for parts management and logistics.
- Undertake necessary admin tasks.
