My client is a high-end kitchen company, who sell their product on value, quality and customer service rather than price. They are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Kitchen Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong ability to communicate effectively as this is a client-facing role with some sales aspects to the position.

As a Kitchen Designer, you will be responsible for transforming clients' visions into functional and aesthetically pleasing kitchen spaces. Your role will involve utilising design software alongside your organisational skills, to create innovative kitchen layouts that meet our customers' needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their kitchen design preferences and requirements.
  • Create detailed kitchen designs.
  • Provide expert advice on materials, finishes, and appliances to enhance the overall design.
  • Effectively communicate design concepts and modifications to clients.
  • Utilise upselling techniques to recommend additional products or services that complement the kitchen design.
  • Maintain an organised project schedule, ensuring timely completion of designs and client consultations.
  • Conduct site visits to assess space and gather measurements for accurate designs.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and new products to provide clients with the latest options.
Experience:
  • This role is suitable for people without kitchen design experience, as long as you have some design background or qualifications and the right drive and enthusiasm to learn and exceed in this role.
  • Strong communication skills are essential.
  • Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations are required.
  • Experience in sales or upselling within a retail environment is advantageous.
  • Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Design Qualification / design experience.
  • Kitchen experience is advantageous.
