My client, a leading manufacturer specialising in the aerospace and defence industry, is currently seeking a talented CNC / Manual Grinder to join their team.
As a Grinder you’ll be responsible for operating and setting manual Studer machines and CNC machines to produce parts to extremely high tolerance. You’ll be joining a great team within a vibrant employment sector.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate and set Manual Studer machines and CNC machines.
- Grind and machine exotic and hardened materials with precision.
- Perform first-off inspections and complete relevant quality documentation.
- Carry out manual land grinding to extremely tight tolerances.
- Set up and run multiple machines and processes.
- Using the relevant inspection techniques/equipment to achieve drawing tolerance.
- Go through self-certification to qualify as quality stamp holder.
- A recognised engineering apprenticeship.
- Manual grinding experience required.
- Good knowledge of machining techniques and appropriate tooling.
- Attention to detail and accuracy and process improvement.
