Role: Support Worker
Location: Across the North West of England and North Wales
Pay: £15 - £20ph
Hours: Long days (8am - 11pm) and sleep in, shorter day shifts with varied times, 12 hour shifts 8am - 8pm or 8pm - 8am.
About the role: These roles will be working with children and young people with a range of Mental Health issues. You will be required to have experience working in a similar role. These positions are on a 2 to 1 basis.
Duties include:
- You will be required to ensure that children and young people are provided with the highest quality of care possible and to assist them in reaching their fullest potential.
- To ensure children's safety and well-being is appropriately protected at all times.
- To provide high standard help, care and support.
- To enable clients/families or children and young people (as appropriate) to enjoy a range of food and support them to buy their food from various places including markets, supermarkets or specialist shops.
The young people involved in these placements can have a range of needs, including:
- Challenging & aggressive behaviour
- Learning disability
- Autistic Spectrum Condition
- ADHD
- Personality Disorder
- Self-Injury
- M.H diagnosis
- Victims of the range of abuses
- Inappropriate behaviours
Criteria for these roles are:
- Child and Adult DBS - on the update service
- Previous Experience in a similar role
- NVQ Level 3 in childcare or equivalent (desirable not essential)
- References covering the last 3 years
