Senior Business Analyst FRTB & Regulatory Finance London,UK (Contractual)

This role will provide onsite/on-call assistance to end-users within the organisation’s desktop computing environment in a timely and accurate fashion to ensure optimal service delivery.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to lead solution design and execution for a high-impact regulatory finance project focused on FRTB IMA and broader financial risk compliance. The ideal candidate brings deep domain knowledge in banking operations, financial systems integration, and regulatory modeling. This is a 6-month contractual engagement , with opportunities to contribute to a strategic multi-year transformation program.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Lead the back testing & P&L attribution testing workstream for the FRTB IMA regulatory project.
2. Design and implement end-to-end data sourcing processes from Finance systems to Market Risk applications in line with regulatory requirements.
3. Drive strategic initiatives like Cash Accounting and Non-settling trade cashflow operating models , and a sub-ledger accounting migration .
4. Oversee integration of billing systems with financial accounting and reporting frameworks.
5. Capture and translate complex business requirements into actionable plans; liaise effectively between external vendors and internal technology teams .
6. Define, execute, and manage testing plans , ensuring delivery of high-quality solutions across multiple release cycles.
7. Ensure risk identification and management within project scope.

Key Skills & Experience:

1. Highly analytical with strong numerical skills.
2. Demonstrated experience in regulatory model building .
3. Background in IFRS 9 ECL modeling and Basel framework compliance , and Unexpected Credit Loss analysis .
4. Expertise in solution design within BFSI domain , particularly in risk and finance transformation.
5. Strong working knowledge of statistical tools such as SAS , Python , and R .
6. Excellent organizational skills with a track record of delivering under pressure and tight timelines.

Certifications (Desired):

1. PRINCE2 Practitioner
2. ICAEW ACA Qualification

Mandatory Skills:

1. Business Analysis in BFSI Domain
2. Solution Design for Financial/Regulatory Projects
