A bit about the role:

This role is for a property underwriter to join the market leading Global Property Investors Aviva team. You will support underwriters in day to day decisions, operating within agreed guidelines and authority levels to profitably underwrite your own portfolios and actively pursue new opportunities. You will partner with brokers and customers to truly understand their wants and needs.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Ability to analyse complex information and draw out the relevant facts
  • Strong attention to detail with a positive attitude towards embracing change
  • Good skills in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to partner with brokers and customers to understand their needs and negotiate face-to-face
  • You will have a willingness to drive your own personal development - technically & behaviourally – and will have full support in achieving your ambitions

What you’ll get for this role:

  • Starting salary between £28,000 and £34,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
  • Bonus opportunity – 6% of annual salary. Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
  • Generous pension scheme - Aviva will contribute up to 14%, depending on what you put in.
