We are currently working with a college based in Cambridge who are searching for a Facilities Assistant to join their busy team on a full-time, permanent basis. They’re ideally looking for someone who has a previous background working within a college, or has previous facilities experience who’s looking to try out a new industry.
Typical duties would include:
- Supporting the facilities team in ensuring the smooth operation of the college building and site.
- Acting as a primary point of contact for all building and site queries.
- Conducting minor maintenance tasks as needed.
- Assisting with the movement of furniture and equipment.
The successful candidates:
- Previous experience working within facilities or in a similar proactive hands-on position.
- Hardworking and enjoys working as part of a wider team.
- Good communication skills.
- Proficient IT skills and able to use MS Office.
- Experience in planned and preventative maintenance tasks.
- General maintenance and repair work including painting, decorating, use of power tools, general carpentry and building work.
