Support Worker

Working as a Children\’s Home Support Worker for children with learning disabilities is a rewarding and impactful role. It involves providing care, encouragement, and guidance to help children achieve their full potential while maintaining a safe, supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
• Implement and monitor care plans, adapting as necessary to meet changing needs.

• Provide emotional support and encouragement, fostering independence and self-esteem.

Requirements

• Proven experience in childcare or challenging behaviour is essential.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with individuals and their families.
• Ability to understand and implement care plans accurately.
• Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes.
• A valid driving license is advantageous for transporting individuals when necessary.
• A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
