Language Services is Avaloq's in-house translation, software localization and language review provider and is made up of a group of friendly, dedicated, passionate linguists. As an Arabic-language financial translator and localization specialist, you will translate the English user interfaces of several Avaloq products and liaise with development and design teams about localization challenges. Ideally, you will possess both in-depth knowledge of banking and finance and have solid experience of translating software for the Arabic-language market.
Your key tasks:
- Translate into Arabic the English user interface text of several banking applications, ensuring accurate, consistent and user-friendly language.
- Develop a glossary to ensure consistent use of Arabic terminology in the software applications.
- Work as part of a cross-divisional team to identify and tackle issues that prevent the software from being localized for the target market.
- Advise on all queries relating to the Arabic language.
Required profile:
- Excellent knowledge of Arabic.
- Robust track record of translating banking and/or financial content.
- Experience in software localization and awareness of the challenges it presents for RTL languages.
- Degree in Translation (or equivalent qualification).
- Organized, methodical and reliable person with exemplary attention to detail.
It would be a real bonus if you have:
- Experience with the localization platform Phrase Strings.
- A keen interest in UX writing and software development generally.
