A leading creative agency is seeking a Data Strategist to join their collaborative team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This agency places feeling and emotion at the heart of everything they do, combining startup energy with world-class expertise to create impactful, award-winning campaigns.
As a Data Strategist, you'll report into the Head of Data & Insight and play an integral role in the strategic growth of several high-profile clients. You’ll sit at the intersection of data, creative thinking, and client service – uncovering insights, presenting actionable recommendations, and helping to optimise trading and marketing strategies. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing a strong attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger commercial picture. Experience working in retail, or similarly dynamic sectors such as automotive or telecoms, would be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyse market trends, consumer behaviour and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
- Build and present trading strategies and optimisation recommendations to senior leadership and clients.
- Lead the creation and delivery of detailed trading plans to drive sales activity.
- Work closely with data, strategy and account teams to inform and shape integrated campaign briefs.
- Monitor performance, deliver regular reporting, and provide strategic insights based on key data trends.
- Manage and mentor a junior analyst, fostering their professional development.
- Build strong client relationships and promote best practices around data strategy.
- 3–5+ years’ experience in data strategy, digital strategy, or performance marketing (agency or client-side).
- Strong analytical skills with experience working with large and complex datasets.
- Proficiency in Excel; SQL knowledge would be a plus.
- Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and social analytics platforms (e.g., Brandwatch, Sprout) would be an advantage.
- Confident communicator with experience presenting insights and influencing stakeholders.
- Passion for customer data insights, marketing performance, and consumer behaviour trends.
