We're working with a specialist building services provider that is looking to expand its expert BMS Servicing and Small Works team in London. About the role: As a BMS Service and Small Works Engineer, you'll take ownership of maintaining, supporting and commissioning Building Management Systems across a diverse range of sites in London. It's a hands-on, customer-facing role where no two days are the same—ideal for someone with a sharp eye for fault finding and a proactive mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out scheduled maintenance, fault diagnostics, and remedial repairs on existing BMS systems.
- Deliver commissioning activities on BMS small works projects.
- Work with Trend IQ2 to IQ5 systems; exposure to Distech or Tridium is a bonus.
- Provide technical support to clients and help improve site performance through upgrades and system optimisation.
- Participate in an on-call rota to support key contracts.
- Independently manage your own workload while collaborating with the wider team.
- Deliver consistently high service levels, representing the business with professionalism and pride.
Skills required:
- Solid background working with BMS systems—Trend knowledge essential.
- Strong customer service orientation and experience liaising with clients and stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving ability and methodical fault diagnosis.
- Confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Competency with Trend tools, IQVision, 963 and Microsoft Office applications.
- UK driving licence (full).
- Familiarity with Distech and/or Tridium platforms.
- CSCS or equivalent industry certification.
- Awareness of health and safety practices in site-based roles.
- Experience in construction or related industries.
