Opportunity for an experienced Support Worker to join a BRAND NEW home located in Lancing. This pioneering project offers a nurturing, homely, and safe environment for up to two children (aged 10-18) with emotional and behavioural difficulties. When children leave the home, we want them to feel confident, prepared, and ready to embrace their future with optimism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build strong, positive, and meaningful relationships with children.
  • Develop and implement individualised strength-based plans.
  • Advocate for children, ensuring their voices are heard and respected.
  • Support children in their educational, training, and employment aspirations.
  • Facilitate and participate in hobbies, interests, and recreational activities.
  • Ensure children’s health and well-being by managing appointments and liaising with healthcare professionals.
  • Promote emotional and mental well-being through positive interactions and therapeutic practices.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and homely environment.
  • Uphold safeguarding and protection protocols.
  • Keep accurate, timely, and detailed records.
  • Act as a role model, demonstrating best practices in childcare and professional conduct.

Experience: At least two years of experience working with children or young people.

Hours & Benefits:

  • Full-time role following a structured 3-week rolling rota (e.g., Monday 09:30 – Tuesday 10:00, then off until Thursday 09:30). Includes weekend work and on-call duties.
