About the Role:

As a Data Governance Specialist you will play a crucial role in the Data Governance team, focusing on Data Governance (DG), Data Quality (DQ), and Data Observability. You will support various project phases, from problem definition to solution generation, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and value-adding consulting solutions. Your responsibilities will include conducting research, assessments, and collaborating with clients to develop comprehensive data governance strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Support: Assist the Data Governance Team of Consultants in different phases of the project, including problem definition, effort estimation, diagnosis, solution generation, and design.
  • Research: Conduct secondary research on Data Governance, Data Management, and Data Strategy topics to identify problem areas and provide data points for effort estimation and proposal development.
  • Assessment: Conduct As-Is assessments of the customer’s current state and prepare inputs and roadmaps for the next project phase.
  • Solution Development: Understand recommended solutions, explore alternatives based on research, provide inputs in building Proof of Concepts (POCs), and seek reviews to assist in providing solution alternatives.
  • Client Collaboration: Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives and data challenges, developing comprehensive data governance strategies aligned with their specific needs.
  • Data Quality Management: Implement and oversee data quality initiatives to ensure the accuracy, completeness, consistency, and reliability of data assets.
  • Data Observability: Utilize data observability tools and practices to monitor and improve data health and performance.
  • Thought Leadership: Support leadership in designing thought leadership initiatives to establish data governance policies, procedures, and frameworks that ensure effective management, privacy, and security of data assets.

  • Expertise in working with data and analytics with a data-oriented mindset to support data-driven decision making.
  • Basic understanding of data governance best practices, data quality management, data privacy regulations.
  • Familiarity with AI, machine learning, and analytics technologies.
  • Knowledge of SQL or any other database.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address complex data governance challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams.
