Our client's UK team is expanding, and we are seeking a MSL who will play a pivotal role in driving medical engagement, education, and scientific communication. This role will encompass responsibilities typically undertaken by a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) while also supporting broader medical affairs activities, making it an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and proactive medical professional.
Role Overview
Reporting to the General Manager, the Medical Affairs Manager will be responsible for engaging with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals (HCPs), and internal stakeholders to provide scientific support and ensure medical excellence in the commercialization of Our client's ED oral spray. This role will involve field-based scientific engagement, medical education, and compliance oversight, ensuring that the company operates with the highest ethical and regulatory standards while driving product understanding and adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Scientific Engagement & Medical Education
- Develop and maintain relationships with KOLs, Urologists, Sexual Health Specialists, GPs, and Pharmacists to provide medical and scientific information on Our client's ED product.
- Deliver scientific presentations, educational sessions, and training to internal and external stakeholders.
- Support medical congresses, symposia, and advisory boards, acting as a scientific representative for Our client.
- Clinical & Scientific Communication
- Serve as a trusted scientific expert, ensuring that HCPs understand the clinical benefits and positioning of Our client's product.
- Respond to medical inquiries from HCPs and pharmacy professionals, providing evidence-based answers and insights.
- Review and contribute to the development of medical and promotional materials, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Key Opinion Leader (KOL) Development
- Identify and engage with key clinical and scientific leaders in the field of Urology and Men's Health.
- Build long-term, collaborative relationships with KOLs to enhance product credibility and scientific dialogue.
- Support the development of advisory boards and expert panels to generate insights and guidance.
- Compliance & Regulatory Support
- Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with ABPI, MHRA, and company policies.
- Provide internal training on compliance, clinical data, and medical best practices for commercial teams.
- Support pharmacovigilance reporting and adverse event handling in collaboration with regulatory teams.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Commercial teams to provide scientific insights that inform strategy.
- Support market access and reimbursement discussions by providing clinical and scientific expertise.
- Contribute to the development of real-world evidence (RWE) and post-marketing studies.
Key Requirements
- Scientific or healthcare background (e.g., Pharmacist, Nurse, Biomedical Science, or Life Sciences degree).
- Experience in a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) or Medical Affairs role within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or medical device industry.
- Strong understanding of Erectile Dysfunction, Urology, Sexual Health, or Men's Health is desirable.
- Ability to interpret and communicate clinical and scientific data effectively to both medical and commercial audiences.
- Strong presentation skills with experience delivering scientific training and education to HCPs.
- ABPI Qualified, with knowledge of ABPI Code of Practice and regulatory compliance in a commercial setting.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel nationally as required.
