We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Risk Analyst – Cryptocurrency to support our risk management operations in the evolving digital currency landscape. This role is focused on developing and refining risk mitigation strategies, conducting in-depth incident analysis, and managing case documentation to uphold the integrity of our trading environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy Development
- Develop and optimize rules and procedures for the digital asset risk control system to detect and mitigate potentially fraudulent or high-risk transactions.
- Collaborate with customer support, compliance, and IT teams to implement effective risk policies and procedures.
- Monitor evolving risk trends by tracking key risk indicators (KRIs) and performance metrics.
- Conduct trade pattern reviews to assess the effectiveness of risk strategies and identify areas for enhancement.
- Incident Analysis
- Conduct thorough investigations into digital asset-related risk events, including transaction discrepancies and atypical trading behavior.
- Analyze supporting data (e.g., transaction logs, communication records, and market data) to identify root causes and system/process vulnerabilities.
- Use analytical tools to reconstruct event timelines and develop comprehensive case summaries.
- Present findings in a format suitable for strategic planning and continuous improvement.
- Risk Ticket Operations
- Create detailed case tickets documenting identified risk scenarios, including trading anomalies and policy violations.
- Manage ticket lifecycles from creation to resolution, ensuring timely and accurate handling of risk cases.
- Collect and verify relevant data across multiple systems and platforms to support thorough case assessments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Statistics, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in digital asset trading, blockchain analysis, or financial risk management.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Python, Hive, SQL, or equivalent platforms.
- Strong understanding of blockchain technology, digital asset trading environments, and risk management frameworks.
- Excellent analytical thinking with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
