We are currently looking for a proactive and detail-oriented IT Procurement officer to provide support across a wide range of IT procurement and license management activities within an international retail organisation. This will be an initial 3-6 month contract which is likely to sit inside IR35. Hybrid role (mainly remote with weekly office meetings) based near Kent/Sussex.
This role will involve a mix of hands-on IT procurement support, administration, including vendor coordination, contract management, and process improvement. The Procurement Officer must be comfortable operating at both a tactical and strategic level to help streamline and support IT procurement across global initiatives.
Responsibilities:- Licence management
- Own ServiceNow platform process for contract/vendor management
- Support day-to-day procurement tasks, including raising purchase orders, tracking approvals, and maintaining contract records
- Assist with vendor management, including coordinating with Managed Service Providers and large IT vendors/outsourcers
- Participate in contract reviews and basic negotiations, working alongside senior team members
- Purchase order & contract management
- Invoicing support with finance
- Support with budget forecast meetings
- Building relationships with key IT stakeholders and aligning purchasing
- 3+ years’ experience in an IT procurement support role.
- Must have a good understanding of IT procurement processes and IT vendors.
- Experience of using ServiceNow, ideally vendor/contract management module.
- Experience with procurement systems, purchase order management, and IT vendor coordination
- Confidence working with IT contracts and supporting contract management processes
- Comfortable performing hands-on operational tasks while also contributing to more strategic procurement initiatives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft packages.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience of working within a Global organisation. (Desirable)
