Job Opportunity: Gas Main Layer with ELR
Location: Guernsey
Type: Full-time
Salary: Circa 42K Base salary + Approximately £500/month with overtime and standby + Company benefits.
PLEASE NOTE: Our client is looking for someone based in the UK who would be willing to relocate to Guernsey.
Are you practical, reliable, and ready for a hands-on role? We are looking for a Gas Multiskilled Main Layer with ELR (Escape, locate and Repair) to join a team to help keep the Gas Network running safely and smoothly.
What You’ll Do:
- Install, repair, and replace gas mains and services
- Help respond to gas emergencies and assist with repairs
- Maintain and check gas equipment and systems
- Support other teams when needed
- Be on an emergency call-out rota (1 in every 4 days)
What You’ll Need:
- Experience working with gas or utility networks, Gas Distribution experience.
- Good attention to safety and detail
- Strong teamwork skills
- A proactive, helpful attitude
- ELR (Escape, locate and Repair - Responder) experience is a plus
