Our client is one of the leading Inbound Tour Operators specialising in Great Britain and Ireland. Their clients are based throughout Europe with the majority in German and French speaking countries. They are looking for an experienced FIT Consultant to oversee the administration and operation of individual bookings. In the role, you will be inserting bookings, amendments and cancellations in the reservations system. You will be responsible for finding suitable accommodation in the UK and Ireland within budget for self-drive round tour bookings.
Responsibilities:
- Update clients’ extranets with rates, descriptions, close outs and re-openings
- Manage allocations to ensure best availability
- Assist FIT Product with creating and calculating competitive offers for ad-hoc enquiries for city breaks and self-drive round tours to the UK and Ireland
- Take part in the emergency mobile rota of the FIT department
- Communicate with clients and suppliers on a daily basis
- Book additional services such as entrances and transfers for clients
- Create hotel descriptions, itineraries and travel information
- Prepare hotel and entrance vouchers for arriving clients
- Upload and insert contractual information and rates from hotels and attractions
- Deal with close outs from suppliers
Key Skills/Experience Needed:
- Friendly and very customer orientated
- Highly accurate
- Able to work to tight deadlines
- Relevant education in Tourism (studies, apprenticeship) and first work experience (i.e. internship)
- Destination knowledge (UK and Ireland)
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
