We are currently looking to recruit for a Water Quality Technician for our client who are a major UK water company. You will be responsible for assuring public health by carrying out planned and unplanned water sampling activity at customer properties to achieve the highest standard of water quality.
This is a field-based role which will involve travelling to various customer properties, both residential and commercial. You will start from home and then complete your scheduled route to drop your samples off at your designated base, which will be their water treatment works in Tewkesbury. A vehicle will be provided for this role. You must have a full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
Excellent customer service is essential as you will be responding to and helping resolve issues raised, not isolated to sampling activity by a customer or member of the public. Problem solving general issues and navigating through other departments within the business is key.
The role will involve detailed knowledge of water quality standards, sites, and sampling points to identify issues which can then be escalated and used to manage any water quality problems using various techniques. Full training will be provided for this role.
