Uniserve are seeking a dynamic and proactive Transport Supervisor to efficiently oversee and manage our transport operations. You will be pivotal in ensuring the safe, compliant, and timely delivery of goods, leading and coordinating our dedicated team across various shift patterns.

Please note: this is a 6 months fixed contract.

Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off, 7am until 7pm.

What you'll do:

  • Oversee and optimise transport operations: Manage fleet activities, plan/approve efficient and compliant routes, and monitor transport management software for departmental efficiency.
  • Lead and support the team: Delegate tasks clearly, support the Transport Planning Manager, and uphold health & safety regulations.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and operational alignment: Liaise with depots, customers, and sales to resolve issues and bridge the gap between sales and operations.
  • Develop cost-effective solutions: Create transport plans using customer IT software.

You’ll bring:

  • Transport planning expertise: Experience in transport planning and knowledge of transport legislation and management systems.
  • Strong professional skills: Proficiency in MS Office, a keen eye for detail, excellent written and verbal communication, and a collaborative spirit.
