The successful candidate will oversee the development and execution of the team’s strategy, ensuring alignment with the broader Governance Function’s transformation plan.

A bit about the job: This role involves engaging with senior stakeholders, leading complex projects, and encouraging a high-performing team culture to develop and optimise processes to improve the operational efficiency of the Corporate Governance team. This includes assessing workflow automation, process mapping and training and knowledge management. The role will also be responsible for optimising technological capabilities and ensuring that operational processes are continuously improved. This includes driving the implementation of new technology and maintaining technology solutions that support the Governance Function. By engaging with internal and external collaborators, the position holder will successfully lead projects related to technology upgrades, system integrations and operational improvements.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Extensive experience in leading operational and technology initiatives within a corporate governance context.
  • A strong and experienced leader, with the ability to champion a collaborative team environment.
  • Proven track record of engaging and communicating effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in process mapping, workflow automation, and operational efficiency techniques.
  • Experience in managing third-party supplier relationships and evaluating technology solutions.

What you’ll get for this role:

  • Starting salary circa £80,000 (National) / circa £90,000 (London) (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
  • Bonus opportunity - 12% of annual salary; Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
