Here at JOLT, we’re on a mission to make it faster, easier, and simpler for the world to switch to Electric Vehicles. Electric Vehicles (EVs) will play a pivotal role in supporting a future based on renewable energy. That’s why we are building a large-scale network of 100% renewable powered, free, EV charging stations to make charging more convenient, fast and affordable.

The role of Business Development Manager (Public Sector) is to identify, negotiate and develop new business opportunities for advertising funded electric vehicle charging sites with Boroughs / Councils / Highways and Transport Authorities.

The Business Development Manager (Public Sector) will represent JOLT in local Boroughs / Councils / Highways and Transport Authority engagement.

Key Tasks:
  • Build relationships, lead negotiations and discussions with local authorities / councils / Highways Authorities to oversee generation of new contracts in London.
  • Using key criteria identify optimal locations that maximise revenue.
  • Work with internal stakeholders within the Commercial, Development and Deployment Teams to ensure site suitability for Commercial investment, Planning, connection and installation.
  • Assist in the preparation of EOI / MSQ / PIN and Tender processes and responses.
  • Work with internal Marketing to create targeted engaging materials that resonate with key audiences.
  • Assist the Country Manager and internal teams in the negotiation of contracts.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of contacts, communications, and project progress, ensuring accountability and accurate reporting against targets.
  • Represent JOLT at local authority attended events.

Experience in developing new Digital Out of Home (DOOH) or EV charging point contracts with local authorities / councils / Highways Authorities.

Negotiation skills with a track record of successfully securing agreements.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Results-driven with a focus on achieving sales targets and objectives.

Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify issues and develop effective solutions.

Ability to manage multiple relationships / projects.

Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with all levels of stakeholders.
