We’re working exclusively with a leading financial services organisation in West Yorkshire to recruit a Senior Internal Auditor with a strong focus on Conduct Risk.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and forward-thinking internal audit function, playing a key role in safeguarding customer outcomes and supporting regulatory compliance. You will lead and deliver risk-based audits across areas including customer treatment, product governance, complaints handling, and regulatory conduct frameworks—offering a meaningful platform to influence ethical and compliant business practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute internal audits with a specific focus on conduct risk and customer outcomes.
- Evaluate the design and effectiveness of controls related to regulatory conduct, FCA expectations, and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF).
- Identify areas for improvement and make clear, actionable recommendations.
- Engage confidently with stakeholders across first and second lines of defence.
- Support the Head of Internal Audit in delivering the audit plan and driving continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in internal audit or risk assurance within the financial services sector.
- Strong knowledge of conduct risk, FCA regulatory expectations, and associated compliance frameworks.
- Confident communicator with the ability to challenge and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and report-writing skills.
- A professional qualification (e.g. CIA, ACA, ACCA) or working towards one is desirable and can be supported by the client.
