An opportunity has arisen for a Garage Technician to join the Jaguar TCS Racing department in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment.
About the role
To provide the workshop and trackside garage technician function, in support of the Jaguar Formula E Teams' daily operational goals.
What you will do
- Operate as a Garage Technician for the Jaguar Formula E Team at the factory and on events as required.
- Manage the team's wheel and tyre inventory in conjunction with Engineering, including preparation, TPMS unit fitting, and managing tyres during tests and race events. This includes in-session pressure adjustments, tyre running, and liaising with suppliers and engineers.
- Plan and oversee all team truck operations, including loading, inventory management, liaising with suppliers, and booking the unit for events.
- Maintain all team consumable stocks in liaison with the Chief Mechanics, ensuring re-stock orders are placed and followed up as needed.
- Maintain and manage the teamβs pit equipment and off-car hardware, ensuring readiness, proactive maintenance, repairs, and proper storage.
- Assist in assembling and maintaining race and test garage infrastructures, including repairing garage equipment and packhorses.
- Handle freight movements, including packing, loading/unloading, and paperwork such as Carnet lists and truck inventories.
- Store current and historic pit equipment, including creating PDN documents and maintaining inventory records.
- Keep the Jaguar racing workshop, race, and test locations neat and organized, utilizing offsite storage when necessary.
- Escalate issues related to kit or operations to management.
- Adhere to all Jaguar FE and wider business policies and safety regulations.
About you
- Experience in motorsport event garage operations (factory and trackside).
- Knowledge of race event tyre management, including in-session pressure adjustments and liaising with engineers and suppliers.
- Experience with truck maintenance and stock management.
- Familiarity with road and air freight operations.
- Self-motivated team player comfortable with a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
