We’re looking for a skilled and detail-focused Engine Builder to join our specialist Engine Department and help deliver the performance and durability needed to compete and win at the highest level of motorsport.
As an Engine Builder, you’ll be responsible for the assembly, inspection, and preparation of high-performance rally and race engines. Working with tight tolerances and complex components, you will play a key role in ensuring our power units perform at their peak under the most demanding conditions.
The role responsibilities include:
- Assemble engines to precise specifications using manufacturer and in-house data.
- Carry out inspections, measurements, and clearances using specialist tools and equipment.
- Strip, rebuild, and prepare engines for testing, events, or customer delivery.
- Work with Engine Engineers and dyno team to feedback on technical issues identified and suggestions for improvement.
- Maintain accurate build records and component tracking systems.
We’re looking for a self-motivated team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude. The ideal candidate will be:
- Educated to technician level and have an understanding of engine mechanics and their systems.
- Understanding of mechanical knowledge with excellent attention to detail and highly organised.
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, manuals, and specifications.
- Methodical and disciplined approach to engine assembly.
- Skilled in multitasking and prioritising workloads under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for problem solving.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience in building high-performance engines (motorsport, performance automotive, or aerospace).
