Role: Senior Management Accountant Package: Up to £65,000 + strong progression Location: Darwen Office based (not hybrid) Start Date: ASAP Were looking for a top-of-class Senior Management Accountant to drive results in a fast-paced, multi-site operation. This is a real CV builder of a role to give the successful candidate the required exposure to push into Senior Finance in the future. Lots of autonomy in a complex business that needs a confident operator to be able to improve & streamline existing processes where possible whilst also delivering timely & accurate Management Accounts across the group. Headlines: Salary up to £65,000 Office based Strong career progression opportunities & exposure to senior stakeholders Fully qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or QBE Highly proficient in excel working with very large data sets, complex formulas etc Manufacturing and/or Retail experience very desirable Strong group level stock/costing experience with good attention to detail Process improvement mindset The Role Key responsibilities: Produce monthly management accounts for multiple business units Conduct detailed margin analyses and provide P&L commentary Full stock reporting control dealing with intercompany movements Oversee stock reconciliations across systems and physical sites, resolving discrepancies Commercial business partnering across the group to uncover inefficiencies and drive change Perform full balance sheet reconciliations along with highlighting any concerns & giving recommendations Work closely with FC learning by osmosis & expanding your role when able The Person This is a great role for someone who is ready to take their Management Accounts journey to that next level. Its a role dealing with big data so not for the faint hearted, but the rewards are there for the right person! Theres a clear path to push into a management position when ready, all the while adding vital experience to your CV by working across a large, complex group. Strong excel skills is a must just due to the volume of data youll be working with, so being comfortable manipulating large data sets is key as is finding key insights within said data and delivering these across interested parties/departments. Having prepared Management Accounts for a large group is a must, although the experience is more important than the qualification (QBE will be considered).
